The Canon EOS M6 isn't quite specified up to the standard we’d expect for a camera with such a price tag, but it's a sound all-round performer and perfectly good choice for EOS M and EOS M10 users looking for something a little more powerful.

Almost all of the competition has a built-in EVF, making the EOS M6 not feel like particularly good value for money at its current price. A number of competitors also offer 4K video recording.

Buy the M6 without trying any other cameras out there and you'll be more than happy. But if you play with the competition then you'll see the M6 can't be considered king in many regards.

It took me a while to warm to the Canon EOS M6, but the more I used it the more liked it. The camera sits in the hand nicely and a real strong point is its intuitive layout and controls that can be customised to suit one’s shooting preferences.

Despite Canon’s continued dominance of the DSLR market, as well as a strong performance in the premium compact sector, its CSC range has had a relatively unremarkable start, with only four UK models released over a five-year period.

A successor to the EOS M3 , the EOS M6 sacrifices a built-in EVF to provide a smaller, lighter body than the higher-featured, EVF-equipped EOS M5 .

The EOS M6 is a great camera for existing Canon enthusiasts and casual videographers alike. The autofocus performance continues to impress, and though many of its direct competitors offer 4K video and some form of viewfinder, the EOS M6 is a well-built camera capable of very good image quality.

Canon's mirrorless cameras are getting better, but the EOS M6 still can't quite measure up to some competitors.

I would give this Canon EOS M6 5 stars (we have purchased two of them so far) except for the rather delicate viewing screen on the back. The tilting mechanism is great to be able to adjust the angle of the screen, but the glass is rather exposed and subject to damage from normal use.

I am a long time photographer and about a year ago obtained a M6. I am not a photo geek, and place more value in Photoshop than cameras. That said, I appreciate the look of film, not HDR, focus stacking, or over the top edits.

I recently purchased this one considering other cameras now are in the market. My first option is the Sony a6400 because it has unlimited recording runtime for video just like any camcorders have. But for the price of the canon m6 its the best purchase I did.

I always kind of ignored the EOS-M cameras after the dismal reports about the first few bodies, so I was surprised when I actually took a hard look at the M6 when looking for a replacement for my beloved but aging Panasonic GX1.

This is my second EOS M6, because I loved this camera and I recommend this to my friends. Pros: Easy to use / full manual and auto / Light weight / good for everyday and traveling use / Compatible with EF lenses (I had the adapter) / Compatible with antique lenses (That's why I purchased this...

EOS M6 + EF-M 11-22mm lens. [several in-camera HDR images combined into a single HDR image] . The Canon EOS M6 mirrorless camera is a worthwhile successor to the recent line of Canon mirrorless cameras. The responsiveness and greatly improved Autofocus Speed and Accuracy is greatly appreciated.

I bought this as an upgrade to my Canon 300D, and could not be happier. All the new features of the mirrorless system, plus the sensor and processor combo, and the ability to use all my old EF and EF-S lenses (with the Fotodiox adapter) make this camera a complete home run for me.

It feels cheap, like a plastic toy. Compare to my EOS M, focus speed is much faster, but cheaper build quality, more noises in pictures, dials are also not smooth. It is just OK for the promotion price. Never thought Canon produces such a low quality product.

Obviously an open box unit. Body will creek when handling. Value for 400.00 is acceptable.

Ideal for trips. Is easy to use and the images are very good. I let my 5D Mark IV and telezoom lens only for birds from now on.
